It was in Arts & Crafts but has been deleted. Was it a scam?

How can a load of laggy bands be a scam?

They were asking for cash to be included in the envelope.

Still dont understand why the thread was deleted Hmm

But you can buy loom bands for 50p in every corner shop Hmm

Cash in envelope is never good though.

Hi OP. Not entirely sure about this one, but it might just have been deleted because there was a duplicate thread on the charities noticeboard. Here's a link that should have all the info on:

Hi ladies, this definitely isn't a scam - Skye Hall is the little boy behind this and his parents are friends of mine. The link is now on the charities page or info on Facebook or //www.blueskyethinking.org. If you do wish to donate to the charity then please do so via the Web page channels rather than cash! The donations will go to research to help others with this type of tumour and any bands sent are planned to be donated back to children's units and hospices around the country once we reach the moon! Xxx

It was my post and I was wondering the same thing! Thanks for unravelling the mystery. I am one of the loom to the moon team. Mumsnet were unable to help us with raising awareness for this So I posted it here and in charities.

Please support us with our campaign. It is definitely not a scan. We are asking for donations along with your loom to Skye's charity, Blue Skye Thinking. Registered charity number 1158021. Your loom will help a very sick little boy complete his bucket list and your donation will help us to find research into new and less toxic treatments for childhood brain tumours.

You can find out more here:

www.facebook.com/loomtothemoon

Or

www.blueskyethinking.org

In the last 20 minutes we've been supported on twitter by Jensen Button and Denise van Outen amongst others. We are slowly getting there and making this a national story. Please share!

Thanks for your support.
