So, we thought we'd have a sort of Mumsnet open day...

Ever found yourself wondering, in an idle moment, what really goes on at MNHQ? If you’re curious to know who’s in charge of the big red delete button, what we keep in our biscuit tin, and whether we do, in fact, harbour mainland UK’s largest cache of gin well, here’s your chance. On Wednesday 26th March we’re planning to throw open our doors to five nosy interested Mumsnetters, who’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to uncover our deepest, darkest secrets.

Attendees will be treated to

- a tour of MNHQ (which will take approx 10 mins)
- the opportunity to grill our community, content, bloggers, events and campaigns folks on anything you fancy
- the chance to ransack our books box for a load of freebies
- lunch on me (possibly with wine)

We’ll also do our best to organise an exciting webchat guest for the day, so you can see backstage on those too.

Our offices are in central-ish London (Kentish Town); if you’re likely to be within striking distance on March 26th, and fancy a nose around, add your name to this thread; we’ll stick it in a hat and do a Hunger Games-style reaping on Monday 3rd March. Come on now, don’t be shy - what could possibly go wrong?

[May the odds be ever in your favour]

WeegieMum - how can you complain London and the SE is the focus when that is where Justine happened to live when she developed MN? Someone living in Leeds or Wales could just have easily have started up the site if they had thought of it first confused.

Ooh me please! Am very intrigued to see the inner sanctum. I miss my job in a creative studio so might find myself answering your phones, tidying up, bossing people around though!

Can the lucky 'golden ticket' five wear helmet-cams to broadcast all they see? like on I'm a celebrity springwatch?

Would love to come but sadly need to work.

yes, it's close enough to my due date for a train journey to set things off. for added excitement you could ply me with pineapple, curry and raspberry leaf tea.

An MN induction to go with the MN haircut and scarf

I know technically I've been, but both times you chose to be out Justine sad

Idly wonders whether I could actually apply do it, as it's the NUT's strike action day ....... then decides that if I do strike, I'll be on hand at schoool gates to explain why .....

figgypuddings Mon 24-Feb-14 18:54:29

You know they 2millionMNers will raid the biscuit tin and drink all the gin. Nail everything down. wink

WhoWasThatMaskedWoman Mon 24-Feb-14 18:58:43

I would have been tempted but Lucy Kellaway just blogged that it was the quietest, and most work-focussed office she'd ever been in, so I've gone off the idea. Unless you were all hungover from the previous night's gin the day she visited, in which case I'm in.
