We found that fewer and fewer MNers were reporting potential QOTWs to us - most weeks we weren't getting any nominations at all. So we thought we'd try to reinvigorate it by going down a different route.

If it turns out that you were all massively but quietly content with the way it was working before, we will of course have another think.

I don't know about everyone else but I basically don't see anything on the right of my screen when I'm scrolling down active convos. You could put a naked Freddie Starr and I wouldn't notice.

I've been in mumsnet for more years than I'd like to admit a while and didn't know they needed suggesting to you.

Perhaps a bit of publicity on this and how to do it might hae boosted interest.

Please don't make us go over to twitter I don't like it and its a shame to lose QOTW to a different website to all intents and purposes. Why should twitter get the best quotes rather than mumsnet?
