It's got nothing to do with owning the site. I have no problem with change. I have a problem with badly implemented and not announced change, mostly because of the 1000000s of threads that happen because of it.
I am also all for improving the site. But I swear MN is like Microsoft. No QC and no CM.
Oh howay. I don't want Mumsnet having to go through the service life cycle of the ITIL framework or similar. Anyway, I've done some of my best work on the hop without telling anyone <preens>.
I did also introduce an infinite loop that killed a vital system for 10. Hours.
... Yeah, maybe some change management would be a good thing. Personally I'd like to see a few more threads saying thanks, rather than whining. Changes that may look aesthetically simple can often be bonkers hard to implement. More cake for the tech folk is required.
