'My Topics' on the app - how do I get some?

On the iphone app, when I press 'more' one of the options is My Topics but when I click here it just tells me you have not added any topics (in a rather patronising tone, I might add...)

How do I add some and look smug as I speedily navigate to telly addicts my topic of choice in 2 speedy clicks?

Of you go to the home page of the app-select topics-have a scroll through choose the topic you want and open it. Eg. Go to fun and games-then pick chat. When you have brought up the lost of chat convos. In the top corner there is a + button. Press that. It has add to
My topics or start new conversation.
Hope this makes any sense whatsoever lol.
