Deleted threads and Advanced Search

If someone posts on a thread that is subsequently deleted, when you search their name then it will only show up on threads that remain standing.

OK, fair enough.

However, recently there have been a few threads where people have only posted on a thread that has been deleted.

So if you do an advanced search on their name, the result shows '0 threads'

Would it not be possible to show the original thread title, with 'thread deleted' in red (as it shows up in TIO), but to show how many posts the poster you are searching for had made on that thread?

It would be a useful way to check out suspicious posters prior to making a report.

I agree with you BIWI, it kind of wipes out their nastiness if they've only ever been nasty on threads which have been deleted.

Hi BIWI,

It's fine to report it to us and we can take a look, even if it's just a hunch.
Searches aren't always foolproof anyways as the individual could be a name changer, but we can certainly discuss it when everyone is back in the office.

I know I can report it, Rebecca (and I would, don't worry ), but it's just useful sometimes to be able to check someone out whilst you're considering a response. I like to be sure of my ground before I jump in with both feet, IYSWIM.
