It's getting to the point that she's about ready to take an extended MN holiday just for the sake of her blood pressure and her sanity.

Please, please may we have a hide poster button?

Problem for me is I get vicarious pleasure out of loathing some people, and smirking at the sharp comments made to them. It's an unhealthy sport, though.

You can hide specific topics. Or individual threads.

Zombie I have an actual list I keep of who is first to be hidden when if HQ ever give in on this. It's getting longer and longer...

I know Tee I just want them hidden before I even read them. If there were the following topics all in one place I could hide them altogether.

Hestons, go up there ^ and go to Customise and scroll to the bottom of the page and there's a link to the hide topics page.

Sparkling, what we really need is a button for 'move this to the right topic' and then we can hide the topic!

Hide the poster button would be an abdolute Gosend but it would become obvious if a poster repeats what hidden posterhas already.stated.

Unhidden would see what you and hidden had posyed. Peopke would figure it out and w more sputeful silly games.

If you want to see how it can work successfully, go to any Delphi Forum. They've had hide poster for years. It inserts 'you've hidden this poster, do you want to unhide this post' link instead of whatever twaddle the poster has posted.

It would really work on MN since you aren't actually replying to a particular post when you reply, but to the whole thread, unless you put the poster's name.

It would be difficult to have a chestnut emoticon. it would look like a small poo, which would probably ok. I have a pile of poo emoticon on my emails and you can have it with flies or without.
