The bear is here in Safari, fret not. And he looks like he should, a Pom Bear, not some poncetastic Steiff teddy.

And this doesn't convey 'hmm' to me, in fact I thought that was hmm. <realises that none of these posts make any sense to anyone using the website>

How do you get the Steiff teddy though? I saw it up thread but it's not in the ready made emoticons list and if it's not bear in brackets how do you draw it? And why was poor Pom sidelined in favour of a pointless green heart?

Anyone want to join me in a Bring Back Pom lobby? We can make posters and organise sit ins and shout Down With This Sort Of Thing

How are people getting all these emoticons? I can't scroll down to the end of a thread to get the post message box, let alone as far down as the emoticons - on neither Android nor iPad.

I have never used the mobile site, I just use Safari on the iPad, and don't MN on the phone at all.

Mine keeps crashing too I don't like it

I use bookmarking all the time so I'd rather stick to a web version on the iPad still I think. It does look good though.

Is this sad face or is this? The second one looks like it is sleeping.

The iPad app keeps crashing as I am scrolling down

My iPad version keeps kicking me out when I try to scroll down the thread. Also and more worryingly as this could cause some major misunderstanding. The emoticons show up as different things on the web based version and I have no actual idea what one of them is. Erm hang on and I'll go back on the app.........

See, it's the fucking biscuit on "normal" mumsnet. It doesn't look like a biscuit on the app. Me not like change.

Amusingly I have been unable to read the whole of this thread as it has crashed 4 times in a row when I've scrolled down to the bottom.

That aside, I am not yet convinced on the new look, it'll take some getting used to.

Testing. I like the way it looks. Has crashed a couple of times on me but sometimes that's iPhones fault with new apps I think.

Oh dear ! I don't do change very well. I m not sure i like the new layout and format. As I type the little i icon is covering the text in the top right corner so I cannot see if I ve gotten a full stop in.
It s crashed 3 times as I ve tried to post this and read the tread .... Annoying [not sure which emoticon to use]

The emoticons are weird but I'll cope.

It is a bit inclined to randomly crash. I've only had the iPad for 10 days though so it could just be my incompetence!

I cant get in to any threads , just keeps crashing and chucking me out of MN :-( im using safari on iPhone until you announce a new upgrade!

I did like what I saw re thread title layout etc, not tried emoticons yet.

Ok, I'm still struggling with the new app . My thoughts.....

1. It randomly crashes. Well not that randomly - it is every time I try to go into certain threads.

2. I do not like these emoticons: . 'Hmm' NEEDS a raised eyebrow! And 'confused' looks like it should be 'I haven't had any sleep'. And what's wrong with the 'biscuit'? Is that supposed to be a tongue poking out for no comment or something? Otherwise I believe Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry would comment that it is a very uneven bake to the biscuit .

3. For some reason now if I put something in pointy brackets it removes it from my post? I used to put loads of highly witty and interesting things in pointy brackets

Layout and usage I'm ambivalent as to whether it is any better or worse. Looks a bit cheaper to my mind (can apps look cheap? Maybe more dated?) but ultimately mainly works the same, apart from my above points.

Look forward to a new update.....

Soooo disappointed that the iPhone app has kept its glitches - can't add a message, and the first topic I look at, eg Becoming a parent, stays as the page title wherever I am, eg S&B.
