Maybe they slow it down on purpose, so they can put their feet up.

See you on the thread, so, Olivia

Well if it's on a go slow Olivia there won't be much reporting or owt. You can have a quiet hour.

Oh, strictly?
<lines up
, nibbles, dips and I even (as a treat for ds2) have pom bears>
But I only like strictly with running commentary on mumsnet.

Olive Oiliva, clearly.
Sorry. Olivia.

Is SCD on tonight? Its Friday?!?

I want to watch SCD tonight so it can go slow if it wants.

Ooh, things are looking upon the MN speed front.
But I just put another load of washing on just in case, and have another batch of school uniform standing by.

I don't have anyone to talk to.
DS1 is still languishing on the sofa under his duvet groaning as he is still ill with strep throat despite a full course of erythromycin, DS2 and DD are at school, and DS3 is napping.
Why is MN sloooooow? I have done my washing up AND mopped the floor FFS. It will disintegrate - I only did it last night.

It's rubbish this morning.
Hopefully it's because Tech is fixing it during the quiet time, all ready for the Friday night pissheads, when it will run lovely and smoothly.
I notice that the banner advert at the top loads promptly even if the rest of the page is left hanging
Is this a ploy to get us to click on it in desperation for anything else to show up on screen?

I have watched TV programmes that I usually Sky plus at 9pm. I was quite good.

Well personally I think they are trying to ruin my 25 year marriage. I am considering starting a thread about it.
Sometimes I even have to talk to dh in the evenings - it's quite scary really.

LineRunner - me too.
Do you think there is a correlation between the mn server and washing machines? <also suspicious>

Mine's a bit odd this morning too.
I will have to go and clear up. My mum is coming over.

Funnily enough, mine's gone all slow already; and I am doing laundry. <suspicious>

I gave up between 8.45 and 9.45pm last night. I deleted and removed the App twice, then went and did Laundry. Which is just not on! And I see I'm not the only one.
Maybe it is a ploy by MNHQ to get us to sort our housework out?

Yes, MaryZ, I think that prior planning is the answer here. Wine, a selection of snacks, and a family member on standby for idle chat in the event of internet meltdown.
