Very slow just now.

Wouldn't let me post. I tried 3 times. Then it let me post.

Then it wouldn't show threads I'm on. Said site was down. 2 seconds later it is back but S-L-O-W

Chrome user. Infrequent poster but I already want to do damage to my wee netbook.

Have you tried turning off the app rather than deleting it?

I didn't have a problem last night until nearly 10 and it was only slow on my PC. Mobile site is fine.

PC is Chrome and Win 7.

If people would list their OS and browser it might help Tech and his people (it's not just one person, whomever said it was) narrow down the specific issue.

Yep. Turning off the App doesn't unfreeze it. Only deleting and reinstalling works. It's getting on my tits!

That's weird, Couthy! I've had an app not reset when I've turned it off.

But this is another reason I'm glad I've never used the app. Mobile site all the way for me. smile

Hello, hello.

So sorry for the lack of update. And, indeed, for the lack of site speediness.

We do seem to have a problem <Houston> with our server capacity at peak traffic times (ie about 9pm in the evening).

It's probably a bug.

The Tech team are currently working like dervishes to identify the problem and sortitaht <EastEnders voice>

We'll try to keep you in the loop and let you know how we're doing.

2) stop using Mumsnet.
