Moon doodah thingy

When Zombie clicks on the moon, it says it's waning crescent and gives information for the first half of August. The moon is actually waxing gibbous and will be full (AND a Blue Moon) on 31st August.

Could you please check whatever link should be updating the information narrative.

Gin

Thank you!

Gibbous wounds like an insult, as in 'it's waxing stoopid'

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_phase

Gibbous is an astonomical term.

There are normally 12 full moons in a year. In 2012 there are 13 full moons. According to what Zombie has read, a Blue Moon is the 3rd of 4 full moons occurring in a season. Zombie isn't sure how a season is calculated. She would use the equinoxes and solstices as chageover dates but thinks it's more loosely applied these days.

In July / August / September there are 4 full moons. Friday's is the 3rd. She assumes that's why it is the Blue Moon.

There isn't a moon on the mobile site, this is why I'm always so lovely and calm
