Ooookay... Vanishing bits of posts?

When you put something in the triangle brackets ( < / >), the word or words in it disappear.

You type , or , and the brackets remain but the word vanishes?!

I am on the App if that makes a difference? Can others see them and not me? I know Tech has been doing a bit of work on links, but nothing has been said about this?

I've also had an italics fail today. Wonder if bolting still works properly?

testing, testing

You'll never know.....

BolDing, obviously, not bolting, and that still works, italics are iffy, and the App doesn't like me using the smileys that aren't on the little bar.

I tried Thanks earlier, and it wasn't showing.

Your sighs are still there.

You've typed pointy brackets, sigh, then pointy brackets doubles first then singles.

I'll type it and you see if you can see it...

, or

I can see it - must be your app.

I can't see it, and I can't see it when others write in 'creepy brackets' either. Single creepy brackets and the whole thing disappears, double creepy brackets and all that's left is a single pair?!

I only reinstalled MN yesterday as it got stuck when loading again.

Strangely enough, Zombie had this on another site she uses. She asked the site owner about it and his reply was:

We usually have to zap/encode these to stop people (Spammers, viruses) trying to insert HTML into the system.

Perhaps the app is more vulnerable to such things?

You can't read my cunt flaps on the app how thrilling

Cunt flaps?! How would you read cunt flaps then?! Grin

(And no, I can't read your cunt flaps)

Had a woo one a minute ago - an education thread from my threads I'm on. When I went to read it, the whole thread, names and all, we're in italics. Posted, and the thread went back to normal?!

MN goes Woo today, I think!

Yes, the inverse creepy brackets does 'fix' it, I can see it when they are inversed?!

Tech is probably having breakfast. It's only 8.20 am in his shed.

He posted on the other thread that he was in London today! So this lunchtime. Maybe the jet lag has got him?!

Hi, We'll have a look at this. It's another side effect of trying to support the two versions of the app at the same time. Ooh me head.

Hi all, I think these should be displaying correctly now.

Cheers! Odd side effects - maybe MN had double vision through running the two Apps? Grin
