You have to have posted on a thread within so many days for it to appear on your threads I'm on list, to make it reappear on your list you will have to post on the thread again.

Oooh, I'd like that too... quite often these things suddenly get revived after a few days/weeks, and you don't realise. I don't add things to my watchlist very often (or remember to check it), and just look at the threads I'm on thingy.

How funny, I was just thinking this myself. I think it would be good to have threads on our own page arranged in order of anyone having posted on them most recently, not just us. i.e. if I posted on a thread last week and someone else posts on it right now, it goes up to the top of our "threads I'm on" page.

Perhaps tech could change it so that any threads you post on are automatically added to your watch list?

Might be worth dropping an email to [email protected] with the suggestion, or contactus@?

Yes I'd like that.

I'd also like a members thing where you can click on a member's name and have a sort of profile thingy? You know, age, occupation, interests etc. Nice to know who you're talking to!

Also, I think on the talk homepage, a list of who is currently online would be good.

Oh, and somebody to come and clean my house !

spacedonkey · 14/02/2006 10:26

ooh no, the list of who's online has been debated before and wholeheartedly rejected ... spoils the fun of lurking!

Reckon it would be interseting to know how many MNers were online not neccessarily who.

Completely agree rickman- it would be really useful if someone had added something later, and I never remember to "watch" threads either. Don't want to see who's online though....

I too would like to see a profile for each member - it could be up to the individual how much or how little information they put on it. No personal info such as real name etc should be on it.

Have wondered sometimes about the who's online thing but overall I think not so people can lurk if they are shy!

Although having said that, if you knew someone was online and you could see from their profile that they had similar aged kids or you lived in the same area or had a similar interest or occupation, you could post a thread to them to break the ice or something along those lines? Would something like that be workable or wanted?

i would love to see a profile page also, interseting to see whereabouts in the UK ( or world!) people are from, etc.

Hello all
We are working on "Mumsnet MyPage" which will let you write a public profile about yourself etc, if you wish to do so. It should be ready in the next month or so.

I'll have a look at bringing threads I'm on "back to life" if a thread gets new contributions. The only problem I can foresee is that for some of you there'll be hundreds.....

Love,
Tech
