Can someone please explain something to me?

The people who set up and run MN, do they post themselves? or do they just lurk and watch? Do they have MN names? and if so, who are they? And who is Cod? (sorry Cod, but you appear so often! and are so well known!)

Cod is just a Normal Person (and I use the term "normal" fairly loosely.)

The founders certainly used to have anonymous posting names when Talk first started and used to chat amongst themselves. They have the obvious names with (mumsnet) after them but as for anonymous ones... it would be a bit unfair to ask them to reveal themselves wouldn't it

I actually heard of MumsNet only a few days ago, the founders where on that BabyChannel on Sky and they seemed really nice women. I don't know how old the interview was but both of the ladies were pregnant, so maybe there will be some birth announcments from them soon?! :O

poppies, weirdly enough I wondered that the other day (ie if Justine and Carrie et al came along and posted under a pseudonym). After all, it would seem a bit unfair that they go to all this trouble of setting up mumsnet to provide a support network then don't feel they can use it!!!

Oh no, I wasn't expecting for them to 'reveal' themselves. I just wondered if they used it and if they did if they were 'known' to all IYSWIM.

If they do post anonymously I reckon they post under very deep cover: you know, never mentioning too much about their locations, number of children, what they do for a living and never becoming too well known. I'd love to know if they do though.
