Can we have a 'babies' topic please?

(10 Posts)

Darling MNHQ <has heard that flattery will get your anywhere>

Could we have a 'babies' / 'life with a newborn' topic please? I've posted in sleep, breast & bottle feeding, parenting, behaviour, chat, etc about my LO (erm, yes, he's a pfb and I'm a panicker!) but never been quite sure it's the 'right' place.

Could we have somewhere that we could stick all of our 'oh heck, what do we do now?' questions about babies?

Ta muchly grin

why can't it just go into parenting?

seriously, we have waaaaayyyyyyyy too many topics already <cries a bit>

That's okay yesterday, I don't mind MNHQ getting rid of some of the topics I don't use grin

that would be a fair compromise i suppose grin

And just by banning any thread that mentions benefits we'd probably free up a whole load of space

Alternatively there's the postnatal thread for whenever your baby was born so you can at least worry in the company of people who have babies exactly the same age as yours smile

i would LOVE if we just had topics on say:

pregnancy and birth
child-rearing
other crap

Hello. But, seriously, thanks for these suggestions. There is a Postnatal Clubs topic, as someone has pointed out.

And the usefulness of the general Parenting topic, we feel, is that you can get some input from people a bit further on in the parenting journey, who may have some "been there, tried this - it's great" nuggets of wisdom to share.

But we will certainly have a look at all the Topics (it's been on our Lists of Things to Do for a while now), so thanks for the nudge to get on with it...

Teenagers have their own section.
