No kids' clubs with Eurocamp/Keycamp in July?!

You're welcome. I'm very jealous - I hope you love it as much as I do smile

Amazing, thank you - essay very much appreciated!

I have visited France hundreds of times over the years but this will be my first time in Brittany. Non-touristy is good! smile

Oh and there's an artisan chocolatier in Carantec too!

It's a lovely site, really family friendly and the pool area is brilliant. The indoor pool was newly built when I worked there and a godsend in bad weather. The whole site is beautifully maintained and the owner, Monsieur Bellec, is obsessive about gardening and litter. If you see an old guy on a ride on mower around everywhere that's the owner!

If you plan to cook then I would go out of Carantec into St Pol de Leon to the big Super U, the nearby Casino isn't great. There are lovely bakeries and patisseries in Carantec though. The best one is as you walk into town from the site, I can't remember what its called but it has a green canopy and they do the most amazing Breton Gateaux and a baguette with cheese and chorizo in it <drool>

A few lovely restaurants and Creperies in town and by the beach too, they all do good value set menus. My favourite is L'abri de Pecheur which is down by the port road, but Table de Ty Pot in town is lovely too. And you must go to the Creperie by the church!

Carantec isn't really touristy but is all the better for it imo, it's lovely. Lot's of property porn if you walk along the coast road. If you like walking you can pick up a route map for a walk around the coastal path and the Il de Batz which is about 8k - it's a great walk.

Nearby must visits are the market in St. Pol and Morlaix - iirc its on a wednesday where they have street theatre and music on.

Sorry I've written a bit of an essay! blush I really love the area, it's one of my favourite places in the world!

Ha, that's fab, thank you! Was it a nice site? Any tips or inside information you want to share? ;)

Ha, I worked on that site 3 years ago! Keycamp / Eurocamp didn't have a kids club then but the site did one in high season and there's one on the beach in the town too.

It's a Yelloh! Village site so fairly sure they have their own.

Les Mouettes. It says it in both brochures, and other sites have similar dates (though some run through to Sept).

I was planning on booking with Brittany Ferries as they work out cheapest but was wondering if we're missing out on the kids' clubs ... but clearly not if they stop two days into our holiday!

Which site is it?

I would call them and check in case its an error but it could be that the site run their own. Another thought is it could be lack of demand. I used to work for canvas holidays and in August about 90% of the guests were Dutch who very rarely used kids clubs.

I have the brochures for Eurocamp/Keycamp and they both state that their kids' entertainment is on 20/5-30/6 at the site we're thinking of visiting this year. I can only interpret this as meaning it finishes on 30th June ie before high season starts confused Is this because the parc starts its own club then so no need for EC/KC to provide one?
