Sunny Beach in Bulgaria September - Family Friendly with 2 yr old

Looking for some late summer sun and considering Bulgaria as the weather seems pretty good for early september. There seems to be some lovely apartments available with private beaches and swimming pools, children's play areas at really reasonable prices.

I have heard that it is similar to Blackpool but maybe not so bad if in a quieter complex and not on a packaged holiday.

Anybody been recently comments/ideas would be welcome!

Not been but am keen to go, try low cost holidays.com they seem to ahve some good deals, although check out the hotel on seperate sites as they are known to inflate the star rating sometimes!

I know two people who have been who said the resort of Sunny beach is nice, but beware of trips that take you out of resort as there is a huge pickpocketing problem.
