5* Luxury with kids: does it exist?!

Hello everyone,

Hope someone can help, I can hardly see for staring at Trip Advisor for so long...

We're looking to go away somewhere in September/October with our son (who will be 14/15 months by then). We went here before he was born and loved it. We're now looking for somewhere similar. A combination of things means that we're looking for somewhere we can treat ourselves - a bit of luxury - but where they also look kindly on kids. Any ideas?

Any help very much appreciated.

Sensatori / Gran Melia Tenerife. Amazing and brilliant for children.

There's a holiday company called Tots Too and if you look on their website you will see lots of 5 star luxury hotels around the world that are great for babies and toddlers. They are currently organising my holiday and so far so good.

Club med is great, lots of destinations and various star ratings, there 3 trident is equivalant to 4 star and 4 trident to 5 star... great for parents who want something special and kids who want lots to do!

Another vote for Sensatori. We have been to Crete twice with children. We loved it!

Sani Beach Club is great. The Almyra is very chilled out and brilliant for younger LOs. We went to the Amirandes last year as well which was nice but not as nice as the other two.

If looking to use a travel agent try Quo Vadis - good for holidays with kids and v helpful staff. On their recommendation we went to Roca Nivaria in Tenerife when DS2 was 10 months old and it was the best most relaxing holiday we've had in a long time - DS1 loved the kids club and the staff were really lovely and accomodating towards kids.

have a look also at the kids in the med wedsite. similar i think to tots too. we have used them before and they are good. oh and any 4 seasons hotel will be good (although v pricey). We have been to both the Sharm and Provence ones. Loved both, especially Provence. Others we have been to are Porto Sani in Greece, the residence in tunisia, one in the algarve (name escapes me but was lovely). my friend always goes with powder byrne, although the kids clubs would i think be a bit regimented for my DC (kids seem to spend all day there rather than just popping in and out)
