Hello Everyone,

We are just about to move to Lincolnshire from London. As there are multiple Grammer schools in Lincolnshire are we able to enter our daughter into the entrance exams in all of them or just one of them?

Thanks in advance

Jonathan

grammarschools.lincs.sch.uk/home/
is a really useful site. Your child can sit the 11+ and in theory if successful can then apply to 13 of the grammars ( a few have different arrangements. Different grammars have different pass marks ( Boston is the lowest I believe) and different catchment areas. But as you are applying out of year you will need to check on the vacancy situation too!

Thanks very much for the advice. Our kids are still primary age and we have found three schools which have places in yr 1 & 3. Yet from a house buying point of view want to make sure we have a good chance of getting in. So is it only one 11+ plus exam and then I apply to all the grammars or do each school have a separate 11+ exam? TiaSmile

Some seem to have a priority catchment area and some go on score so you need to check the admissions info for each school. Re the tests much is explained in detail here: www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/schools/regions/lincolnshire-11-plus for example it says: The 11+ testing in Lincolnshire is co-ordinated by the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools. Currently, 12 out of the 14 grammar schools together with King Edward’s VI Humanities College belong to the Consortium and follow
the same testing arrangements. Caistor Grammar School administers its own tests. The Boston Grammar Schools Federation uses the same tests as the Consortium but has adopted a modified set of selection critieria.
