DS homework to create a poster - every "country" he has come up with isn't a country but a state of some sort. Meltdown this morning for us both - any ideas????

Rio is a City not a country, Brazil would work though.

Mexico is a Country.

One of the Caribbean islands was a good suggestion (they are individual countries by the way).

How about Australia? Mountains, tropics, deserts, oceans...

Australia is a great example, great barrier reef, kakadu n.p., deserts etc. But someone else in the class will have picked it.
Brazil and Mexico are good too. Tbh most countries have stuff just look at the wikipedia entry.

Japan! it stretches far north and south, so goes from temperate to tropical, with volcanoes in between.

Malaysia. A lot of the internet materal will be in English. Some nice limestone stuff on the peninsular (Batu Caves or Langkawi islands) and some great stuff in Borneo. Mount Kinabalu, Sipadan Island, mangrove swamps etc.
