Looking for a teenage tutor in Sevenoaks area

Not sure how to go about this but my ds has slipped behind in all subjects at school as he is not focusing and is messing around in class rather than doing his work. We are currently working on revision with him for his end of year tests and it has been soo hard work. Most of the time he sits there staring at the wall refusing to work. A friend said she uses a local teenager to tutor her son so I thought I'd try and find one to help us.

I'm thinking that maybe we should hire a tutor for my son to work with him for some time over the summer holiday before school starts and then maybe during the weekends during term time. I thought I'd reach out to other Mums and find out how I can go about finding help for my son.

At DD's (private) school some of the 6th formers tutor younger pupils from other schools. It's all to do with community stuff I think but could there be something like this in your area?

Thanks for your reply. Haven't been on here in ages and only just seen it. I might ask the school if there are any sixth formers who want to earn some cash over summer.
