We've got a visually impaired student starting in September and he needs braille resources. This will be the first time we've had someone with these needs. At present we don't really have shared SOWs although we do have shared assessment tasks (we just get there in an individual way), in other years we teach different texts. Obviously, we're going to have to start planning individual lessons further in advance but does anyone have any tips on where to find resources and what to do instead of powerpoints with visuals etc? Basically, help me make this student feel welcome and part of the lessons.
