Would it be petty to complain to the school about this?

Ds 13, came home from school yesterday with purple felt tip scribbled all over the back of he's neck.

Some clown thought it would be funny (not a friend by the way).

It's actually pissed me off,he had no right. Would I come across as one of 'those' neurotic mums if I called to complain about this?

Oh, and aged 13, I would remember that there are two sides to every story.

I don't understand the question.

Was he upset about it? Is there bullying?

If the answer is no, I wouldn't complain

If it was part on ongoing bullying that the school was failing to deal with ynbu, otherwise yes.

Unless it's an ongoing bullying issue (which you would be absolutely right to complain) then yes you'll be seen as one of those parents.
It's a silly childish scribble that's all.

Did you see what he did to the other kid? Grin

Yes. Surely your son gave the latest d a piece of his mind at the time that he discovered this?
If you asked your son this question I'm sure that he could reassure you that it's fine not to go to the school?

Not only would you be that parent, but your son would also be that child amongst his peers.

DS came home last year with an anatomically perfect and rather graphic penis drawn on his blazer. By his best friend. Now that I was pissed off about! although Numpty son thought it was hilarious

DD comes home all the time (well, maybe not so much now she's higher up the school) 'decorated' with felt tip pen - I think they sit and doodle on each other to pass the time Confused

As others have said, if it's a bullying issue then absolutely do say something, but if it's just mucking around, not quite sure what the problem is.
