So, do any of you know how your school/department are managing the changes?
We're still waiting to hear if we will be 'allowed' to still do the IGCSE in English and Literature. It looks like we'll still be doing AS and A2, but with not all subjects changing I feel very sorry for the timetablers!

Both of our local sixth form colleges have decided to stick with AS and A2 for all subjects for intake 2015.

Our local schools have also decided to stick with AS and A2 for all subjects as apparently this is preferred by universities. It all looks a bit of a mess to be honest.

If Labour get in they have promised to not go ahead with the decoupling so it's all still up in the air about whether it's going to happen.

It's a mess.

It's going to be a nightmare for employers. With all the changes each year there's no way that qualifications with the same name can be comparable year on year.

My understanding is that the 6th form at dds school is still going to enter all pupils for the new reformed AS at the end of Y12 as they believe this will help with uni applications.
tiggytape it would be fairly straightforward to keep the old unreformed AS and A2 exams going for a couple of years. The exam boards would have some of these papers already written to allow current students to retake so all that would be needed would be a larger number of these papers to be printed off for all pupils to take them.
