My DS sat the exam but not sure how many did. How did he find it?

He found the comprehension more challenging that the other papers. Others he found pretty straight forward.

Butty saw you on RGS thread. DS did Salesian too. He thought Salesian much better, finished all papers and came out laughing. He really likes Salesian.

Yes Tom likes Salesian too, but has his heart set on RGS, like most of us.

Anyone heard from Salesian yet? Other schools are starting to offer and the (fingers crossed) silence from RGS but nothing from Salesian.

We're still waiting (albeit not v hopefully - DS had an essay disaster). It's supposed to be this week I think. Apparently they tell the schools the day before!

Boys had a tour too. Maths was harder esp last few questions. He couldnt complete the last one. I am not that worried as i told him good work as he came this far! X

He's done amazingly to get that far. They deserve something in any event for the extra effort!

Is rgs his favourite or is he tempted elsewhere? I think most of us on this thread have a similar decision.

He prefer RGS as his brother is there too. He took reading blue coat as well.

How about u kay34? Is ur DS keen in RGS only? Looking at the thread, looks like all NOs has gone out. X

He falls into the category of a good all rounder rather than an academic. He likes the sport, particularly football at Salesian but we wonder whether Salesian is a little outdated . He sat lord wandsworth and was invited to sit scholarship papers but we think it is too small and not competitive enough.

I think RGS will be great for ur DS. I am not sure whether my DS will get Salesian as we are not catholic. Recently Salesian has been awarded outstanding by ISI. X

Reading looks like the perfect mix between the two. Just a bit awkward to travel to for us. Similar to Hampton, academic footballers! But too far for us.

Thanks Wellington. Getting a bit stressed here, plus the fall off in GCSE results of his state options isn't really helping my mood Sad

Wellington, you have made me think twice. I may post on the rgs thread for info about sport at rgs. Thx
