Not yet! Keeping busy doing all sorts of ludicrous chores and telling myself I don't care at all!

St Paul's (waiting for interview date) and Rugby (but that's next year).....I guess the fewer acceptances, the easier the decision but an acceptance nice all the same!

Well done all. Must say am shocked by number of lovely bright boys I know who weren't called for interview. Clearly very intense competition but such a shame. I wish there was a better system than this. 11 seems so young for such disappointment and being judged and found wanting.

Manuel - well done your school - ours is a high quality boys' prep school but maybe hasn't prepared boys for the KCS exam well enough? I dont know - just makes me realise how academic the school is and how tough the competition.

Hello ladies. Can I just say as a mum of a boy who left last year that the school is very good at "choosing" the boys who are most likely to thrive. It's very tough both academically and socially and I can think of boys who have scraped in, against the advice of their prep schools, who haven't been very happy. Those experiences based more on what happened lower down the school though - we were out of the loop for the 11+ stuff because we were there already.

It was the perfect school for our eldest but it doesn't suit all and there's no way it would have suited our almost equally bright youngest.

Good luck - I hope they are all very happy - sometimes the decision is right for the child. I think it has got harder and harder over the last few years but am largely out of it now.

If you get in all I can say is that our ds was extremely happy there and I never for one moment ever had any cause for concern.

Don't stress, Moggy: DS had his today and came out beaming. Both interviews gentle, no left field questions - he enjoyed them both and came out feeling that he'd shown himself at his best. So either it went well for him or didn't but lovely interviewers made it feel that way. either way, he had much more fun than he'd anticipated. Haven't spoken to any of his school friends yet but certainly Didn't see anyone coming out looking at all shaken. Hope that helps you to relax a little this weekend!
