Wandsworth test

Put my DS in for the wandsworth test mainly as a practice for January's tests at Reeds and maybe Whitgift , just got the letter on Wednesday and the test is this Saturday at 8.30am ( don't they do notice ?) anyway just wondering if anyone knows how quickly the results are published ? I know the pass mark is stupidly high 98% for a place at graveney so realistically I'm not expecting an offer ( and it would be yet another logistical nightmare). rang up wandsworth and they were a tad vague they did say it was 50 questions , 50 minutes VR non VR ..... My DS is getting 96% non VR 85^ VR on practice papers so no hope which is nuts but hey ho ....

It's not 98% needed to get into Graveney - your child has to be on the 98th percentile (so in the top 2% of children taking the test) so if 99% of children are scoring lower than 95% on tests then your son would get offered a place IYSWIM

Last year something weird happened, and not sure why. Normally you would need to get over 270 on the standardised scores (equating with being in the 98 percentile). Last year though it seemed that DCs with scores as "low" as 250 or so were getting in (equating with the top 96 percentile).

So last year you could get in by being a bit less bright than other years (still bright, mind).

Can only really be explained by significantly many more (than previous years) of the DCs doing well in the test opting not for Graveney but for elsewhere.

Fingers crossed for this year too! Youdon't find out until offer day though.
