I have applied for my daughter to start secondary school next year. We get three choices here. I have applied to two academies and a Roman catholic school. I believe they all do their own admissions but they are co-ordinated by the council.
What information is sent for the school to rank the children in order? Is it just a list of names and the distance from the school and if they have a sibling there? What about if they are out of the area. I know someone who has applied to a school in a different county would the school know that or would they be treated like everyone else?
It seems such a long time to wait to find out where you have been allocated.
Thanks
