HELP WITH CHOOSING SCHOOLS NORTHBRIDGE HOUSE OR ST CHRIS?

I would very much appreciate any advice in regards to choosing a new school for my son who is 14. Currently at Mill Hill, where he started this academic year after being at North Bridge House since he was 3. He did not settle well at Mill Hill, and mainly due to the fact that for him, it is a very big school, not really individually-driven (as the teachers admit themselves), it is very traditional in its approach to uniform code and is a 'rugby' school, whilst he is a football fan. All these attributes of the school are not negative by all means, but they do not go well with my son, who takes time to mature and has dyspraxia. He also has a group of friends who, individually, are lovely, but together quite a handful... He spent all his year in detention practically and although the teachers have been very supportive and cooperative with us, it seems is not the best place for him. Here is the dilemma: North Bridge House Senior or St Christopher in Letchworth? NBH is all a new venture and St Chris is far but I am also concerned in terms of how good the teaching is there. I was extremely impressed with their ethos and the individually-driven approach and I can find no fault.... Any advice from people who had experiences with either of these schools would be greatly appreciated as we need to decide very quickly! Many thanks in anticipation.

And just to add that I know there was a previous thread, but I am partcularly interested of people who had their children THIS academic year at NBH Senior, under the new merger / management with Royal and/or people who had recent experience at St Chris. Thanks again .

i don't have kids at either but good friends of mine do. St Chris' sounds good if you have a child who is relatively self motivated. i am told it's properly creative though. NBH is a small school and friends say is very nurturing. Has a reputation for having a nice down to earth crowd, happy kids. It has a new head who rumour has it is ambitious for the new senior school so results will probably get better too. Either sound like a lot more fun than Mill Hill was!
