School trousers for slim ds

I ordered m&s age 11-12 slim fit school trousers for ds2 for when he starts secondary school later this year.

They are huge around the waist. At least 6 inches too bigShock and I don't think ds2 is 'skinny'. Slim certainly, but not skinny.

Anyway I've just ordered some next slim fit instead.

Any other ideas as to where I could try?

They have to be black or dark grey.

BHS. After trying EVERY store I eventually found a pair in their skinny/ slim range that fits DS.

George - the kind with the adjustable elastic bit in the waistband.

We get the M&S 'long' in the size below for DS2. For example, '9 slim fit' are still too wide around the waist, but '8 long' fit perfectly. Especially when we pull the adjustable elastic in a bit.

Next slim fit jeans and cords fit him really well, but haven't yet tried their uniform range.

Have bought DS2 a couple of pairs of '9 long' school trousers from M&S in the hope that he might grow a bit before he starts secondary school in September!

DS2 has tried on some of the games kit from two different uniform suppliers. At his current rate of growth, the smallest track suit trousers available will finally fit him in Y9 or Y10.

The M&S extra long ones with the elastic pulled in for my boys! The slim fit just means slimmer in the leg I think not the waist. M&S long is one size longer in the leg than waist, the extra long are two sizes different. Next are ok but the knees wore through much faster than M&S.

Another vote for m&s long fit trousers. Ds is a v skinny 14 yr old & is also short so we got him age 12 trees in the long size. I just wish they did the same for girls ad we've got the opposite problem with 10 yr old dd. She's normal height but has a tummy so could do with short 12 yr old trees. Angry.

Next, M&S do skinny fit, too.

Next ones are the only ones that fit my ds.

BHS, age below but long.

For girls, M&S age below but long are better, as or some reason the material used for BHS girls' trousers is vile whereas that used for boys' ones is fine [and exceptionally sturdy].

We used BHS & Debenhams when he got taller.

Yup, age below but long.

Ds is the reverse - age above but short at M&S. He's really not tubby, just chunky (I know how that sounds btw, but he honestly isn't over weight!).

I got the age below and long.

Still miles too big on the waist.

Will try next.
