I've never heard of Corelli School. The local secondaries are; John Roan, Thomas Tallis and the Greenwich Free School (sorry don't know much about this very new school but a mum i know raves about it.) There are private secondaries - Blackheath High for girls and Colfes (mixed) in Lee.

Sorry, meant to add - look at the local authority website; royalgreenwich.gov.uk
This will list all schools, admissions, distance and other criteria etc

And you are right-Blackheath Bluecoat is closing down. There is also a new Harris Academy (Greenwich) that used to be Charlton.

When you say Greenwich, do you mean the borough (large area) or actually in Greenwich?

In the area, Thomas Tallis was always the most sought after school, with a narrow catchment area (about 1 km). So if you live in Greenwich you will not get your child in. John Roan is improving, and has an ambitious head. It is the closest secondary to Greenwich, apart from St Ursula's (catholic, girls only). Many parents now prefer John Roan to Thomas Taliis, but in reality both are similar. They both have rebuilds either in process or completed, and take over 200 in each year group. These are comprehensive schools, so you are not going to see stellar results across the board, but you will see individual children doing very well (Oxbridge, medicine etc).

Corelli school used to be called Kidbrooke school, and is where Jamie Oliver did his school meals series with Nora the dinner lady. Harris Greenwich is in Eltham. Greenwich Free School is not in Greenwich, but in Shooters Hill, so between Eltham, Charlton and Woolwich.

The property is actually near St Ursulas, but we aren't Catholic.
