Westminster school boarding

I would be interested to hear from anyone out there with a son who started as a day boy at Westminster school and then became a boarder or who started out initially as a boarder. Does the choice of house matter ? Is there much for the boarders to do post school and prep ? Are the younger boys allowed any freedom or do the understandable issues of living safely in central London take priority ? Are there enough boarders to avoid cliques ? I like the concept of boarding because I think it will strengthen my DS's social skills but I am not sure if this can be said of the Westminster model as opposed to "full " boarding. Certainly I can see the benefit of boarding as a way to avoid a long commute but I would be really interested to hear any good and bad boarding stories from Westminster.
