DD, Year 7, has been asked to participate in an online master-class and I've been googling but not found much info on it really.

Oh, perhaps she has done it wrong. She did 50 words for the FOR argument and 50 words for the AGAINST argument. Oops!

Thanks.

My daughters school is paying for this, just wasnt sure of its purpose.

My daughter completed her test today, she beat yesterdays score, do they get a certificate for this?

She seems to be enjoying completing the units, but then she is competitive!!

Yup they get a certificate awarded by Oxford University and the people marking/running the course are academics from Oxford uni.

I imagine it will look quite good when applying for college/uni later on.

Crikey, have you seen the reasoning subject for tomorrow's unit Sandy, Zaz? Euthanasia shock . Should prompt an interesting discussion.

Blimey didnt see that! Wonder what DD will put down, shes very literal! It is interesting isn't it.

You're right Jenny, they are supposed to do it twice. 50 words each time, for and against.
