Wallington Girls Entrance Exams for 2013 Entry

Just heard today that DD passed Wallington's entrance exam, she is "deemed to be of selective ability and eligible to be considered for a space." We are thrilled, but word is last year over 600 girls were 'deemed eligible'. Anybody out there know how one might find out how many made it through to this point this year, for 2013 entry?

You can ask the question directly of the school under the Freedom of Information Act methinks! Go on, take the bull by the horns. We did this last year for DS (now at another local grammar school!)

It is on their website under 'yr7 admision information'. It says 1400 took the test, over 700 passed. I think more took the test and fewer passed last year. Not good news for us though. Last year our daughter passed and is now at the school. This year our DD2 has not passed the exam.

That's a shame fossie - have you a back up school? Does anyone know if the results have come out for wally boys or wilsons?

Wallington takes 210 girls, have a look at their website for info about how places are allocated.

Thanks all for your input, I saw it on the school's website. Flossie sorry to hear, did you apply to other grammars? We're out of the Wallington's catchment area so if she's not in the top 100 she won't get a place. @AngelEyes46, don't know any info on the boys schools, sorry. Probably similar timing, 2nd or 3rd week of Oct.

Know the SGS results are out this Thursday, 11th October but have a feeling the others aren't out until the 18th or possibly later still?

How's everyone got on with Wallington and Wilsons? My dn passed Wilsons (310 for 150 places) but did not get Wallington.

Hi AngelEyes,
I thought Wilson's was 390 for 150 places, not 310...?
