Mine used to routinely lose PE shirts until I wrote our surname on the collar on huge black marker pen.

Sorry. But I can beat that

DS1 phoned me at 8.20 this morning to say he left his new bloody expensive school bag on the bus.

Inside is pencil case, calculator, oyster card and front door keys.

And just how did he leave it on the train you may ask?
He was on bbm with one of his friends and "got distracted

And has anyone handed it in to lost property?
Of course not. "

DS1 on his first day in Y7 took both indoor and outdoor PE kits (in fear of having the wrong one). Bag disappeared on the morning. Two pairs of trainers, shorts, rugby shirt etc. I had to replace the lot.
Someone found it on the roof two years later Grin

Thanks for posting this, it really made me laugh. ( I do hope the missing things turn up though Smile )

If its any consultation, my DS2 used to forget and lose things all the time but has grown out of it. He is 18 now and is surprisingly organised and almost never misplaces things.

I spent the entire primary school years in and out looking for lost property.

Now at secondary I spend my entire day driving to and from the school (20 mile round trip) taking the stuff they left at home and need for the day. Funnily enough, that never is a mobile, or laptop. Generally it is a book. ffs

Dd1 left her bag at the end of our road on her first day. She was cold so put her blazer on and left it on the pavement while she cycled off. By the time anyone went to look me, having left work in a panic it had gone.

All stuff found where he left it! He entered the corridor at the opposite end and went to the wrong (opposite)classroom! Blush. Didn't bother to ring me though.
