Strategies to Fight Exam Stress & Achieve Success

I am on a mission to help students achieve their best exam results possible!

I have over the years taken 'O' levels (GCSEs), 'A' levels, gained a Diploma in Accountancy, qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Accountant and Chartered Company Secretary and Administrator.

In 1991 - based on my experiences of taking academic and professional exams - I had put together a 'book' to help others pass exams and had put the manuscript to the side when our children came along...

Back in September 2011, we were watching BBC's Click, when Kate Russell during "Webscape" did a short piece on the free to download eBook site - //www.bookboon.com.

Not long after Channel 4 launched its mold breaking T.V. program "Educating Essex" (see www.channel4.com/programmes/educating-essex) and showed the fantastic commitment of Mr Goddard and Mr Drew and their team to engagement with, and to the success of, their students at Passmore School (now Academy) on our door step in Harlow.

I was inspired by Mr Drew and Mr Goddard to offer the manuscript to the folks at Bookboon.com.

That led to positive email exchanges and the book "Strategies to Fight Exam Stress & Achieve Success" is now available free at bookboon.com/en/textbooks/career-personal-development/strategies-to-fight-exam-stress-achieve-success

I have shared the eBook with Mr Goddard - to see what he thought of it and to see if I could help his students.

Here is some of what Mr Goddard wrote to me on Monday 5, March.

"..we have already used some of the advice as part of preparing students for their maths exam today! It is clear and pragmatic; ... the part ... about basically ignoring pre-tests made me raise an eyebrow but ultimately I agreed was absolutely correct and something that we should avoid!
Thanks for putting it together so well."

It is free so costs nothing to read and is very short. I hope the insights it gives can help you and your children.

Do feel free also to ask me questions.

Best wishes with this year's Exams

Will
