Reassurance re Langley Park

My son is going to Langley Boys in September. I've been there with him and we were thrilled. I have heard many good things about it and read up all I can. It all seems good. However I don't live that near to it (my son is statemented so got in that way). I just need to hear about it from other mums I think. Anyone have any feedback or experience of Langley. No one I know has heard of it so I am missing those playground conversations that everyone else seems to be having right now !!

I don't have first hand experience of the school, but I know that it's very sought-after; the catchment area is very small and people move house to get their dcs in both the boys' and neighbouring girls' schools, so I would say well done for getting a place and good luck to your son!

I saw your title and thought 'lucky them going to Langley'.

It is just on the edge of my radar though, so I don't know anything but the general positive rep it's got. Hope you find some people to reassure you with some nitty gritty stuff.

I'm not a parent but know several people there. As with any secondary, it's a big transition in year 7. But in general they seem to turn out nice young people. They have been good at supporting boys who have been dyslexic but not diagnosed at primary. Two young men I know have done brilliantly, one of those was dyslexic. I think their sen side is ok In general and also improving but again as with any school you'll want to keep an eye out.
