Science GCSE Resits

Okay, my son took his GCSE physics and biology exams in the summer. However didn't get the results he wanted so asked if he could resit the last modules. School said yes but we would have to pay. So we paid the required amount a month ago. Son got timetable for exams in January. However school had entered him for the wrong modules. Told yesterday that he would now have to wait until July to retake the correct modules. No explanation at all to us, no apology from the school, nothing. I am fuming because he wanted to get these out of the way in January. Got an appointment on Tuesday but what can we do? It's just one thing after another with this school.

He can be entered now. It will be triple fees. If school have messed up they should pay.

My DS was supposed to do a resit in June for a biology module but they forgot to enter him so he did it in November - a full year after the original exam. Haven't had to pay? To be fair they were full of apologies and there were heaps of revision sessions organised. He is doing an ethics resit in January - (got a B in the original and they want an A Hmm ) haven't had to pay for that either.

Yes they can change them now, it would cost them extra. Since it is their mistae they should bear the cost. If they're not forthcoming then I suggest you get in touch with the press......
