Secondary education

My child appears to be the only one in her class who did not get in to her chosen secondary school

Oh bloody hell.

We do live further than the others and were preparing to move, but to single her out as the only one. Harsh...

Going to appeal. Gobsmacked.

It hasn't hit her yet how awkward this is going to be. This is dreadful. Don't find out until february if appeal is successful. 50 others appealing from around the county apparently. Last year only 16 and all got in - but 50? Unlikely.

Bloody hell.

I'm guessing here that you are not in England but possibly in Scotland, is that correct?
The reason I say this is that for England and Wales the national day for secondary school placements is 1st march.

Hi,

Wales actually. Here it is 12 December, but for some reason this school told everyone earlier.

Not quite so devastated today, but still not good.

Tut Tut, very naughty of the school not to keep to the date of 12th Dec which would be for all the schools in the LA.
