Based on their interviews with Gary: Tank Commander alone, who would you vote for so far?

I'm going with Kezzie for her "I don't like Willie" grin

OneMagnumisneverenough Sat 23-Apr-16 21:29:43

"I'm not a fan of willie" is definitely the best quote and wins for me too. I've not seen them all though and I thought Ruth was pretty good as well.

Someone said something about the whole interviews coming on as it's just wee clips I've seen, so I may change my mind when I've seen them all/the whole interviews.

SirChenjin Sat 23-Apr-16 21:33:06

The whole interviews with Kezia, Ruth and Nicola are already out - Kezia and Ruth were very funny.

HirplesWithHaggis Sat 23-Apr-16 21:34:56

I thought the clips were edited highlights? I've only seen Nicola, so I'll wait till Monday (10pm, I think) to decide. smile

Piffpaffpoff Sat 23-Apr-16 21:37:02

Ruth for me. I think she's funny. She was riding a buffalo at the buffalo farm near me yesterday. It's not clear why... (As an aside, when DD was 4, she misheard me and was looking out the window for the gruffalo farm - such disappointment!)

We are so lucky to have these three women leading three of the five parties grin

OneMagnumisneverenough Sat 23-Apr-16 21:41:57

To me it's irrelevant whether they are women or men, I just want someone with honesty, integrity, commitment and a good work ethic who cares and is passionate about doing the best for our country.

SirChenjin Sat 23-Apr-16 21:50:47

I thought they were the whole interview? You mean there's more?! grin

I agree One - couldn't care less if they are male or female, I want the best person in charge of the party.

SirChenjin Sat 23-Apr-16 21:51:15

Although I totally heart Ruth.

MorrisZapp Sat 23-Apr-16 21:54:52

I think all three knocked it out of the park. I'm giving highest accolade to Kezia though, simply because I already know that Sturgeon is charismatic and has a brilliant sense of humour.

I honestly thought Kezia had zero personality, no self awareness and a mind bogglingly annoying voice.

But Gary brought out her inner decent, funny woman. Kudos to all involved.

SirChenjin Sat 23-Apr-16 21:59:03

Sturgeon....has a brilliant sense of humour

She'd have to grin

OneMagnumisneverenough Sat 23-Apr-16 22:02:54

Fuck me, I've missed something about NS then?. Admittedly I have no time for her politics, but I don't see any charisma or humour about her at all either.

OneMagnumisneverenough Sat 23-Apr-16 22:25:21

Willie Rennie's is on the BBC Scotland FB page now - he's also done Patrick Harvie and David Coburn but I can't see that they've been posted anywhere yet.

SirChenjin Sat 23-Apr-16 22:56:10

Just watched Willie Rennie's - the women were better. He looked terrified!

HirplesWithHaggis Sat 23-Apr-16 22:56:34

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0798qlw

It's a half-hour programme, with six participants (inc Coburn, that'll be a laugh and then some! grin ) so an average five minutes each. Don't think the clip I saw was that long - anyone noticed the running time of the clips?

OneMagnumisneverenough Sat 23-Apr-16 22:58:49

Between 2 and 2 and a half minutes Hirples

Behooven Sat 23-Apr-16 23:04:27

Oh I wanted to watch these - thanks hirples

HirplesWithHaggis Sat 23-Apr-16 23:11:33

<sets recording device for repeated viewing pleasure>

I cannot think of any other election where so many politicians were up for such a thing, kudos to all of them. grin

Willie was in my sister's year at school. (They didn't know each other, though.) I wonder if Gary being a Fifer added extra terror for him?

OllyBJolly Sat 23-Apr-16 23:14:41

Three women have been funny so far and I certainly saw a much better side to Kezia Dugdale. (Already knew Ruthie and Nic could be funny). Willie Rennie just didn't get it.

Looking forward to Patrick Harvie tomorrow.

SirChenjin Sat 23-Apr-16 23:26:44

I don't know very much about Patrick Harvie apart from the fact that the Greens are generally bonkers though well meaning so looking forward to seeing how he reacts to Gary's suggestions for how we can help the environment an a tha

HirplesWithHaggis Sat 23-Apr-16 23:42:30

I think Patrick is lovely. I don't agree with all of his ideas, but he's an intelligent bloke who can think on his feet, understands his arguments (I'm not convinced Kez always does) and can defend them. Good to have him in the Parliament, and I rather hope Andy Wightman can join him in May.

Superjaggy Sat 23-Apr-16 23:53:33

I've only seen one of the clips, thought I'd save the rest for Monday night. Cannot wait to see the David Coburn one, I bet they won't show him ahead of Monday as he'll blow them all out of the park in terms of ridiculousness / scariness (or will have a massive humour fail).

Fair play to all of the leaders for taking part though!

ToomuchChocolatemeansBootcamp Sun 24-Apr-16 00:02:48

I'd go Kezia for calling Trump an arse and saying "cheery bye".
"Gash" made me wince a bit but overall she went up in my opinion the most so far. Looking forward to seeing the full interviews!

OllyBJolly Sun 24-Apr-16 09:06:14

Agree re Andy Wightman Hirples I would love to see him at Holyrood.

LassWiTheDelicateAir Sun 24-Apr-16 10:47:40

I already know that Sturgeon is charismatic and has a brilliant sense of humour.

Must have missed that.

The thought of Wightman being elected is horrific (and not that it matters but having met him and heard him speak several times he is utterly devoid of a sense of humour or manners)
