FFS. Feel like we've had three weeks in October, possibly November.

Agree, totally depressing. Hate this feckin weather.

cuntyMcCunterson · 20/07/2015 19:40

4 seasons in one day here and I've got the heating on just now Angry

Cloggal · 20/07/2015 19:41

I'm sick of people saying it's like this every year. It's been a total washout this year, worse than I can remember for fucking ages. SadWine

DancingLadyEmoji · 20/07/2015 19:42

Yup Sad

RandomMess · 20/07/2015 19:46

I'm in the NW and it hasn't been great but you've had it so much worse and in the school hols Sad

Much empathy from me it's gutting.

Behooven · 20/07/2015 19:48

We haven't even brought the BBQ or garden furniture out this year. Today I had a jumper on and still had to put the heating on as well.

KneeHighScooterBruises · 20/07/2015 19:52

Last year was gorgeous!

Random, it has rained more or less since the last day of school. A few nice days, but the back has been too wet to let them out without re-enacting the Somme.

OP posts:
RandomMess · 20/07/2015 20:27

Angry

Just not on!!!

Cloggal · 20/07/2015 21:26

And the year before kneehigh.
Everyone I've spoken to has totally forgotten that in the doom of the current weather 'ah it's always shite', NO IT ISN'T. Two words - commonwealth games ok so it was bucketing by the end but it was bloody glorious for most of it

AndThisIsTrue · 20/07/2015 21:27

Tis truly shit! Makes me want to move down south but then DH pointed out I would probably complain it was too hot then...

RandomMess · 20/07/2015 21:30

Noooooooooooooo don't go south - just moved up. Honestly it's unbearably humid/dirty and uncomfortable to live normally when 22-24 degrees most days for weeks on end and then it still manages to piss it down on the days you actually need nice weather. You stress about getting burnt, can't sleep etc.

Lovely for a holiday but not all the time IMHO

Libra · 20/07/2015 21:43

We just lit the fire. Can't remember it being this bad before. I am embarrassed about my garden, but very difficult to weed in gales and torrential rain.

AmIthatsummery · 21/07/2015 10:00

Just come back from holiday and have two cases of dirty washing and no hope of getting it dried

I think people underestimate how depressing this is

SaulGood · 21/07/2015 10:08

We're hoping to move to Scotland soon. I am complaining in the other direction. It's way too hot here and I'm sweaty and uncomfortable. I dream of Scotland. Ironically, whenever I've been on holiday north of the border, it's always been very hot. Family and friends who live up there agree entirely; this year it has been remarkably poor weather.

Is the long range forecast any better? Often September is nicer than the summer months. Maybe there will be a late, glorious summer for you?

KneeHighScooterBruises · 21/07/2015 13:31

Even May was crappy this year. It always used to be glorious around exam time (although that might be down to feeling stuck in studying!).

I'd be glad of a good September. At this rate the kids will be going back to uniform in tights and wellies!

mrsmilkymoo · 21/07/2015 13:34

It was nice last summer when dd was late to make an appearance, I remember being hot, grumpy and uncomfortable and too tired to do much as it was hard to sleep at night. This year of course with just a few more weeks of maternity leave to go it was bound to be miserable. I'm due back at work on 1 September so I am confident it will improve then!

ssd · 21/07/2015 13:59

its utter crap, am sick of it.

ssd · 21/07/2015 14:00

the minute they go back to school the weather will improve Sad

Tobiasfunke · 21/07/2015 14:06

It's so depressing. It's been basically drizzling here for 2 weeks. DC are going stir crazy despite my best efforts. It's going to cost me a fortune by the end of the summer. It's the constant greyness that gets to me.

306235388 · 21/07/2015 14:32

We've had 2 weeks away and whilst I'm grateful coming back to this is miserable. I'm literally freezing sat with a wheat bag and blanket and have no motivation to do anything...

ssd · 21/07/2015 15:06

that and the constant wet washing that cant dry

The washing is my issue. I absolutely refuse to put the heating on.

I've got a load out just now, so just watching for the next downpour.

Pissed off with it, and actually, yes I would rather it was warm and dry.

Last summer was glorious. I remember the commonwealth frames and the Ryder cup. Beautiful weather. This is shit Hmm

BelindaBagwash · 21/07/2015 17:05

It's awful - only decent weather we had (NE) was the last few days of school. Since then, utter shite, Today sun is shining but blowing a gale.

SkodaLabia · 21/07/2015 17:17

I'm waving to you from across the sea in NI. If it wasn't fucking lashing down again, I could see bonny Scotland from over here.

This summer has been miserable. I want to move too. Reckon house prices are only so high in the SE because of the likelihood of getting through summer without trench foot.
