Hi I'm considering moving to plymouth. I'm turning 22 and my son turning 4. I just feel that I need a fresh start for myself and my son to better out lives.

My best friend has done the move down there and we have said we want to give things a go between us finally. And we are considering buying a house done there he is currently renting down there.
I'll be moving from a town not far from London and have lived here my whole life and I'm really getting so down about being here and just knowing everyone and everyone knows your business I just feel I need a new start.

My son will be going to infant school next year so I need to think is this the right desisicion soon as I need to apply for schools ect.

I will be working as a Carer and will need to find work for this down there in been having a look on sites and work for that seems to be good down there.

What's it like in plymouth? Need help making this big desisicion

I grew up in plymouth, moved away a few years ago. It really is dependent on the area. There are lots of economically deprived areas, but equally there are some really nice areas. It's a lovely city, the city centre isn't all that but it's surrounded by countryside and the English Channel. There's lots to see and do. Also very child friendly, millions of things to do with children. Perhaps visit for a week and see how it goes?

I wouldn't say Plymouth was rural. Why not take a day trip down there and have a look around. Devon is a great place to bring up children.
