What do you think about this guy being sooo keen?

So I knew this guy when I was younger and last time I seen him I was about 15 or 16. We fancied each other and kissed a few times. I moved away and have not seen him since. We live hundreds of miles away from each other.

He requested me as a freind on facebook and we had sent each other a few messages but not spoke much. Last night we spoke over facebook and he started suggesting that I visit him or he visit me. Which I found strange but kinda went along with as a joke. Then he asked me to text him my number and sent me his. I said I would.

I'm not sure if I should give him my number or not as it seemed weird to me that he would suggest these things even tho he has not seen me for years and it was our first time really talking. But feel it would be rude not to send him my number as I said I would.

Anyway advice needed...

lol thanks for the replies... I spoke to him again on facebook as he sent me a message asking why did not text him?

I told him it seemed very odd and strange to me that he wants me to go all the way to see him where he lives.

Also I mentioned something about it being freezing and I want to go on holiday, he asked if I would take him with me. And I said why are you paying? And he said yes... lol

He does seem very strange indeed...

Are you both single?

Agree that he's after a quicky, if he was geniunely wanting to see one that got away he might have taken it slower and got to know the older and wiser you.

Gosh you lot are better at this than me.

Is he single?

The others are probably right though, i give people the benefit of teh doubt too much.

Do you want to see him? If not then there's no problem!

honestly! on the assumption that you are both single - why on earth not go along with this flirtation and see where it ends? he might be a very nice decent guy, who may not meet that many new women that he gets along with - you knew him when you were younger so you know for a fact (im assuming?) that he is actually not a complete weirdo.

i think im saying that - based on my assumptions above - why not give it a go and see what happens? you dont have to meet, go at your own pace, just keep an open mind.

well i did say to him that I would not be going to see him miles away from my home, but he has friends in london so if he comes over here I can meet up with him.

He didnt seem like a complete weirdo when I last seen him but you never know.

We will have to see how things go, but i just found him abit forward and making too many plans with me considering how long it has been scince I've seen him...

Are you sure you weren't his unrequited first love? I've been contacted by someone from my childhood (we literally started school on the same day) and have bumped into each other a few times; been in touch sporadically; etc. Now we're both on Facebook we "talk" a lot (he now lives in Canada) but he's told me that he had full on crush for the whole time we were at school together which was, literally, until we both left. He's not weird or creepy and we have seen each a few times but he's much more attentive towards me than I am to him. Could this be a similar thing?

Not saying you should see him either way but it might make things more understandable?

You never know, as soon as he met me he dunped is girlfriend as he wanted to go out with me (I was only 14 at the time). And they had only been together for a very short while (as you do when you are so young). So maybe lol
