Sometimes I find DP the opposite of attractive.

When me and DP first got together he was a complete state. wore clothes that were scruffy, old fashioned, too big etc and he didn't really take care of himself properly. When he saw me getting put off he started to make more of an effort and bought new clothes, showered every night etc.

Sometimes however I feel he's not really changed at all. Last week I noticed his finger and toe nails were really long (longer than mine) and really horrible looking. He said he couldn't find the clippers hmm

He lets his hair grow really scruffy and wears the same clothes day after day.

A few nights ago I noticed his dressing robe stunk of urine. I told him, he said he didn't understand how that had happened.

Then the next night, he was wearing it!! I asked if it had been washed and he said no, he couldn't smell it anymore though hmm

I could, so I kept my distance from him. Later in the night he asked why I wasn't cuddling him on the sofa like normal...I said because his robe was mucky. He tutted and said "oh well, nothing I can do about that" hmm

He complained that the new jeans were too long. I told him they're meant to touch your shoes!!! A few days later he went out and bought some half maste jeans and said he didn't realise they were too short but added "well, they'll have to do now"

I just find myself being put off by him all the time.

AIBU? I do tend to be a bit of a hygiene freak but I think its warranted in this situation?

That dressing gown sounds disgusting.

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeurgh.

Well we all look less than our best at times, but that dressing gown sounds beyond disgusting.

Does he ever make the effort to look clean and nice?

er, do you love, or even like this bloke ?

it sounds like he actually makes your skin crawl, your distaste is palpable

why are you with him? Perhaps you could revisit that concept and then speak to him about the fact that his personal hygiene is off-putting to you

the jeans thing...I dunno. Do you usually buy his clothes?
