Relationships

In praise of lovely DH

Last night, he tasted dinner, stopped to tell me how delicious it was, then kissed me and thanked me for doing the housework and dropping his suit off at the drycleaner.

He is also voluntarily doing all the paperwork and research for our new mortgage when we move house.

There is no real point to this thread, other than (a) I am a naturally incredibly messy person for whom noticing and doing something about mess is a genuine struggle, so was so pleased and touched that my efforts (however basic) are noticed and appreciated.

And (b) someone said the other day that there aren't enough happy threads on Relationships, so here is one.

Aww, that's nice.

It's good to hear about the good ones sometimes.

DH was cross with me last night... because I didn't call him to come collect me from the station when I had a blister on my toe from silly shoes! . He's such a sweetheart too.

Did he get a shag?

Nope, tho mostly because his team were playing and one must prioritise. Hopefully tonight will be a different story

Of course Man U won last night! DH was in v good mood. He told me that he loved me, but then I'd filled the fridge with beer and let him have sausage, egg and chips for dinner. He told me that "beer, sausages and football, all at once, was the recipe for perfect happiness!" I didn't a get a shag either

Porto, I am impressed. Poor DH got lentil curry and squash!

You're definitely ahead on good wife points...
