Lack of desire after baby.....

......but my baby is now a 2 year old and things have not improved and it is distressing for myself and my hubby - we've only been married 3 years too!!

I do have PND for which I am on very mild anti-depressants.

I just don't ever think about it or miss it or desire it or my husband for that matter. Prior to having dd I was very sexual. It feels to me as though something has been switched off and I can no longer 'feel' desire.

All tips/advice gratefully received.

Hi Mumtojennifer, I think u are v brave to ask on this one I am probably going in completely the wrong direction with this so forgive me but your turn of phrase "It feels to me as though something has been switched off and I can no longer 'feel' desire." Struck a chord with me instantly. I am fine now I kind of got switched back on. I was on the injection pill ( depo provera ) and you have described 2 of the side effects in your post. Sorry if I am going in completely the wrong direction here but I couldn't read and run after what I went through

there have been a few threads about this. try searching end you'll get some good tips

in a nutshell:

you need to feel good about yourself. get some 'me' time. get your dh to help out when he's home with stuff around the house so you feel it's a true partnership.

the more sex you have, the more you want it.

sorry, this sounds a bit trite. have baby on lap and have to go but didn't want your thread to drop off the bottom... you are definitely not alone in this.

Anti-depressants can kill your sex drive. Which ones are you on?
