last night dh initiated sex and i could just not be bothered. It was pretty late but we were getting on well and it seemed like a good idea but half way through i just thought - i cant be bothered - this isnt working for me. so big row and all fed up today.

Well sometimes it just doesn't work out does it? Was it just a one-off and you have both over-reacted? Or is that your normal reaction to sex these days?
It is not unusual for things to just not click sometimes, not that often but that happens I would be able to call it off without hurting feelings. But I think my dp is quite robust in that respect...I don't know if I would be able to be the same if the shoe was on the other foot.

It gets dull for me if we leave til last thing at night, routine type sex. Dh and I try and vary as possible. We try and grab a quickie during the day sometimes and dare I admit it had a little in-car session after the cinema recently. We've only made 7 yrs together so far though!

thanks for your posts - you two are very wise. I dont think it is a normal reaction but it might be getting that way. It was def last thing at night routine type sex. I think i need to be a bit braver and maybe as soon as kids in bed not watch it takes two and make a move..! thanks for responding - it made me feel better just to write it down and be listened too
