Dp has just been in the foulest mood - sceamed at ds's. Dp was drunk on christmas day and aggressive. My mother came to stay yesterday and dp went to his mothers and returned after we had all gone to bed, and then wonders why I am cross this morning. He has not seen her in over a year!!!!!!!! He is still in bed and has still not come down to say hello to my mum. Sorry a rant I am just sooo pissed off!

{{{hugs}}} to you, sounds like he's got an axe to grind or just maybe the thought of being cooped-up with people over christmas having to be pleasant.

Also, a minor grumble between you two may be ten times worse because it's difficult to get away from people when you are thrown together and doubly difficult to sort it out when you have spectators.

Jazzicatz

You haven't been happy with him for a long time now have you?. Everyone seems to be tiptoeing around this bully of a man.

I hope you intervened when he shouted at your children because they need someone to stick up for them. You need to grow a backbone and make changes for your own self because he will not change.

Children learn about relationships first and foremost from their parents - what are they being taught here?. Think of the effect all this is having on your children witnessing this rubbish not just to say your own self; its culmalative.

I remember you from previously - I am saddened to read that things have not surprisingly stayed the same.

Is he still driving whilst intoxicated?.

Maybe he stayed a long time with his mum because he hadn't seen her for a year?

Does he have issues with your mother?

They don't like one another, but they are perfectly civil.

Not really because at least you have a caring, loving dh with you - I am living in conflict which is awful.

Just curious - Wasn't it possible to spend Christmas all together (you, dp, kids, your mother, his mother, etc)?

Report
Jazzicatz · 29/12/2007 13:30

No due to distance and work and conflict between everyone.
