Just cooked DH - Duck with Soy and Ginger Souce, together with a nice bottle of wine, I thought that I had set the scene!
I even said that he could find a nice movie on Sky whilst I did the washing up.

Have just gone into the sitting room to find him watching the ....
MAN UTD - v - CHELSEA match .....
Too cross to speak - so who wants to chat to me on Mumsnet !?*!

Crystaltips, I'm here. I was on the way home tonight thinking, yeah, it's Friday, cleaner's been, long weekend, dont have to rush around doing the usual evening stuff, going to play with dd and then watch three soaps in a row while dh puts dd to bed. Well, you guessed it! AND to add insult to injury, even dd didnt complain whent the footie came on, usually she is very vocal.

Hope you enjoyed the duck though, sounds lovely, and keep the wine to yourself!!

When does it finish? I hate football soooo much.
And don't say next summer!

This match? Only thirteen minutes, the season, hardly ever, I think we get a two week break in the summer! Actually I don't really mind it too much, and dh is a lot better than he used to be cos he would rather be with dd (and me, I think!), but can't they ban the evening matches when dds and dss are in bed?

Exactly, it's such a waste of quality evening time.

Hee! Hee!

Dh has just called out to me and asked me what I was up to.
"I'm chatting on mumsnet" was my reply ....

"OK! Well you know where the wine is" was his reply ....

Mutual thoughts " Total waste of time"

Dh is watching it in the pub, so I'm watching the lovely athletics with dd!

I'm relegated to a re-run of Misomer Murders in the other room on the crappy old tv. If it wasn't for Buffy I'd never have allowed Sky in the house.
Grr-arrgh

Luckily as a family we don't like ManU, so we don't have to watch much of the televised football during the season! His best mate supports Chelsea so I suppose DP might have watched the match, but he fell asleep on the settee around 7.30 and hasn't surfaced yet. Oh dear...!

I'm here as there is nothing but repeats on tv tonight (or any other night, for that matter)!

Watched the soaps, well tried to in between, mum she strangled me, mum he jumped on me, mum I'm hungry, mum I'm thirsty, mum I'm hungry again!!! Why don't they behave like this when dad's looking after them - one guess where he was?!?!

Luckily things were a bit better (only a little) when I was watching the athletics, WELL DONE DWAIN.

As for footie, I only watch the Newcastle matches, can't be bothered with anyone else. DH HATES football.

I cant stand all the football. Anything Liverpool has to be on in our house. Ds is just coming up two and already has a kick like Owen and shouts Liverpool and goal, cheers and boos with dh. Maybe a little girl would be nice for no2 and we can go off riding.
