My partner is constantly coming out with stupid slogans and catchprases that really piss me off but I'm not sure if I'm being too sensitive.

We were in the shopping centre at weekend and we were hot and he takes off his coat and said "jeez, I'm sweating like Michael Jackson at a playgroup". This bloke heard him (as he's not exactly discreet with it either) and gave us an odd look which I really can't blame him for.

He does it about all kinds of "sensitive subjects" and its really wearing a bit thin. Am I blowing it out of proportion or would it annoy you too?

p.s. I am a name changer for obvious reasons.

yes you probably are blowing it out of all proportion but it would annoy me too. could you not just ignore him as you would a child? He might even get the message in the end

No, that would get on my nerves too. There's a time and a place for silliness isn't there?

I do ignore him, don't even acknowledge that he's said anything but it doesnt seem to make a different, he thinks he's really funny. I'm probably just going to end up snapping and telling him to pack it in.
